Jaelyn is just over 7 months old now and attempting to crawl. I’ve put off childproofing as long as I could but it’s time to get my butt into gear! I’ve been collecting those little plastic “caps” that you put into the electrical outlets but I haven’t really found a design I like. They are either way too hard to get out which makes accessing the outlets extremely inconvenient, or so easy to get out that my cats think they are toys. I think I found the perfect solution in the Kid-E-Cover!
The Kid-E-Cover is actually an entire plate that replaces the existing outlet cover. There are little spring loaded switch on the side that you pull out in order to access the plug. There’s just enough tension to make it too difficult for the little ones but not enough to get mom and dad frustrated. It works great and even keeps my heavy plugs from falling out of the outlet. I would feel 100% safe with my daughter playing near any outlet covered by the Kid-E-Cover.
The Kid-E-Cover was invented by a single father and is made in Michigan. (USA made, awesome!) You can purchase the product on Amazon or at elicole.com. There’s even discount pricing when you order multiple covers.
